Freaky Tah

Freaky Tah, born Raymond Rogers on May 14, 1971, was an influential American rapper and a prominent member of the hip-hop group Lost Boyz. Emerging from the Queensbridge neighborhood of New York City in the mid-1990s, he was known for his distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence. The group, formed in 1994, blended hip-hop with elements of funk and R&B, contributing to the East Coast hip-hop scene. Freaky Tah's notable works include the Lost Boyz debut album, "Legal Drug Money" (1996), which featured hits like "Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimaz & Benz" and "Lifestyles of the Rich and Shameless." Their follow-up album, "The Lost Boyz - Love, Peace & Nappiness" (1997), further solidified their status, showcasing their unique sound and storytelling ability. Freaky Tah's impact on music is marked by his role in popularizing a more melodic and party-centric style of hip-hop during the genre's golden era. Tragically, he was murdered on March 28, 1999, at the age of 27, but his legacy continues to influence artists and fans within the hip-hop community.
